Joy of Being You is a deep inner journey to discover who you are and what you can be. Connection to your authentic self is the foundation of joyful, meaningful life. The 10 weeks of self-inquiry in a relational space liberate your truthful feelings and expression, and improve your self-knowledge and relational intelligence. It is a unique personal experience where changes are guaranteed.

Joy of Being You happens in a relational space of deep connection and authentic expression. It is a safe and free space to find a deeper connection to your true Self and to others, and explore what your inner truth in your heart wants to tell you. You learn to give and receive mutual support to the others, and to listen with caring honesty and presence. All emotions, creations and expressions are welcome exactly as they are. This space makes deep healing possible.

Guided meditation and creative journaling

Guided meditations bring your awareness to the space within – the space of inner quiet and wisdom where you can see yourself and your life from a higher perspective. They give way for your inner voice to be heard and hidden things to arise. Whether you meditate or not, this will be a great experience to learn.

Each of the nine meditations lasts about 10 minutes and has its own theme. You are committed to listening to the meditations 2-3 times a week.

After listening to a meditation you start journaling freely. This is your tool for creative self-expression of your feelings, sensations, thoughts, needs and experiences. Writing helps you to communicate from your inner being, gain insights of yourself, express yourself freely and clearly, and reprogram your conditioned mind with loving thoughts.

Individual or PAIR Journey

You can choose to do the journaling process by yourself or with a pair. The process is powerful in both cases. Sense into which option serves you the best at the moment.

If you choose to work with a pair, you share your texts with each other in a circle that is private for just the two of you. You also feel, sense and reflect the texts of your pair and respond to them. Sharing the process with a pair enables you to have a witness and mirror for yourself, and act as one for the other. Your pair can be your friend, team mate, partner, or someone you meet in the program.

One participant expressed her experience of the shared space like this:

"With my pair it was a very interesting ‘ride on a healing wheel’. Her fire was my fire, her questions stirred my questions, her new insights inspired my new insights – and vice versa. There was much freedom, absolute honesty, and a lot of joy all the way through. I felt truly honored to witness her process and was grateful to share mine. It was like a Dance. She danced her Dance and I danced mine, side by side, laughing, crying – absolutely alive and thriving."

Group meetings

All participants come together in six Zoom video meetings. They will be organized both in English and in Finnish. In the meetings, everyone has a chance to practice to express themselves freely and share things with other participants.

A process beyond activities

Guided meditation guides your subconscious to a specific direction. It opens a box of memories, thoughts, emotions, patterns, and all other things stored into your system. When you start to write, you grasp the first pile of things and deal with them by letting the text arise from within. But the box is not closed afterwards. It remains open and your subconscious keeps working with its content. It takes days – or even more – to go through the content of the box that is available for processing, and make the adjustments to your patterns and models. This is why so many things in the Joy of Being You process happen in between the meditations and writing. It is literally a 10-week process, with no breaks in between.

You are the creator of your journey

Joy of Being You is not a program for specific content you need to learn. There is no curriculum, no teacher, no doctrine. It is not about an external source or authority giving you answers or defining your path. Only you hold the power to heal yourself and that is why this is about your journey inward. You will get all the tools, resources and support you need to dive deep to your own self. With the help of your inner guidance, you choose what you make out of them.

Better Self-Knowledge

Joy of Being You supports your awareness of your emotions, thoughts and body. You learn to recognize limiting beliefs and inner blocks, understand your emotions and experience pure feelings. With high self-knowledge comes meaning, passion and self-appreciation.

Strong & Healthy Relationships

Working with a pair and small group improves your relational intelligence and teaches you valuable skills to be brought into your relationships. The most important ones of these are letting yourself be truly seen, being a mirror for others and creating a mutual, intimate connection with them. You also learn to establish healthy boundaries and balance giving and receiving.

Shadow Work

Before you can step into a new version of yourself, you need to let go of fears, anxieties, limiting beliefs and unhealthy attachments. Joy of Being You process helps you to understand your inner shadows so you can either release them or integrate them into your life in a more constructive way. When you release what no longer serves you, you make space for the new to emerge.

Inner Wisdom

Your heart, true feelings and intuition tell you what is truly valuable in life. Guided meditations and creative journaling help you to connect to the space within, listen to its voice and wisdom, and make decisions and express yourself based on that.

Truthful & Creative Expression

During the process you express yourself creatively by writing and speaking. You learn to allow your creative expression flow freely and overcome creative blocks. Each of us have our inner creative genius which you get to meet in the process.

Mature Adult

The Mature Adult group is for participants above 30 years old. Each group has max. 6 participants and the participation fee is 450,00 €. It includes nine guided meditations, journaling process, six online group meetings, weekly instructions and additional learning material, and an access to post-participation sharing circles after the program.

Why are there different age groups?

We share similar ways of thinking, acting and communicating among our own generation. Our peers often have similar life situations and ongoing challenges which makes it easier to identify with each other. We may experience deeper trust or mutual understanding in their companion.

Young adults are often in a phase of finding their own way in life. To take a step towards maturity and integrity, they need to acquire awareness skills and self-knowledge. Inner growth helps them to live a more conscious life guided from their own values and inner truth of what feels right. Those who start the inner growth process later in life, transform their earlier experiences into practical wisdom to be shared with others as wise elders. Wisdom comes from inner work. Although Joy of Being programs are directed to different age groups, the Joy of Being community will bring these groups together in new ways.

We find it important to support the wellbeing and growth of young people as they are key players in creating a new culture to our world. However, we understand that many young people do not yet have financial stability or solvency like many older adults do. We do not want the program price to be an obstacle for their participation and therefore we have modified the price and program content to better fit their needs. The price of the Young Adult course is compensated with bigger group size.

Work communities

Embody a new culture of balanced doing and being, mutual listening, truthful self-expression, authenticity, connection, and balanced feminine and masculine qualities to your team, organization or community. The Joy of Being You program serves work communities in building their cultural foundation, improving trust and communication among community members, and harnessing procedures that support creativity, free expression, and workplace wellbeing. The program enables community members to work with themselves, their emotions and self-knowledge, and learn important relationship and communication skills. Open sharing and listening in the whole community increases individuals’ enthusiasm, motivation, wellbeing, the feelings of support and meaning, and capability to use their own potential.
